Austrian resumes Cape Town service from Oct 2018

Austrian today (06JUL17) announced its planned service relaunch to Cape Town after 18.5 years, as the airline schedules seasonal Vienna – Cape Town service. From 27OCT18, the Star Alliance member’s 777-200ER will serve this route twice a week. Reservation will be available by late-October 2017.

Austrian previously served Vienna – Johannesburg – Cape Town routing until April 2000, 2 weekly A340 service, according to OAG. Service to Johannesburg ended in March 2001.
