Finnair resumes Los Angeles service in S19

Finnair yesterday (21AUG18) announced service resumption to Los Angeles, with the offering of nonstop Helsinki – Los Angeles route from 31MAR19. Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft will operate this route 3 times a week.

The airline last served Los Angeles between May 1981 and October 1991 with DC10 aircraft, initially operating as one-stop via Seattle, later switched to nonstop flight.

The oneWorld member in summer 2019 season will also expand service offering on Helsinki – San Francisco route, at time this post goes to press, the airline is displaying 5 weekly flights instead of 3, with Sundays service not available for booking. Additional schedule change will be made to reflect the airline’s announcement, which will operate 4 weekly flights.
