RusLine opens direct route to St. Petersburg

Russia's largest regional airline is opening a direct route from Oslo Airport to the well-known city St. Petersburg. Travellers will be able to fly direct to the world's northernmost metropolis three-five times per week.

"This is good news for tourists and businesses in both countries. St. Petersburg is one of the world's most famous and mythical cities, soon just a one hour and forty minute flight away. We are certain that this particular route will become very popular," says Avinor's Vice President of Traffic Development, Jasper Spruit.

Tickets are on sale

The route will open on 1 June, but you can already book your holiday now, either via a travel agent or online. If you are travelling onward, RusLine offers good connections to 38 cities, particularly within Russia, but also to other Eastern European destinations.

"Russia is a vast country with many fantastic attractions, and the RusLine connections are excellent if you want to continue your journey from St. Petersburg. This also includes Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg," says Spruit.

Norway is attractive for Russian tourists

The Russians are also pleased with the new route, and Rusline's General Director believes that Norway is a very attractive destination for his fellow citizens.

"Norway attracts many tourists from different regions of Russia by its beautiful nature, cozy towns, and picturesque landscapes. The more comfortable and available the trip there becomes, the more people would love to visit Norway again. Thus, we believe that this flight is a must-have destination in St. Petersburg and its Pulkovo, one of the biggest airports in Russia", says Dmitriy Eshtokin in RusLine.

Rusline airline's main base is in the Russian capital Moscow, and the company also has bases from St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Vornonezh, Ekaterinburg and Tyumen. The fleet comprises twenty Bombardier CRJ (Canadian Regional Jet) 100/200s and three Embrear-120s.
