Passenger Traffic up:)

During February, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 1.12 million and presented a considerable rise of 5.1%, despite the additional Leap Year day of February 2016. Domestic travellers presented a small decline (of -2.4%), while international passengers demonstrated a strong growth of 10.5%, formulating the overall outcome.
Overall, during the first two months of 2017, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 2.33 million, exceeding prior-year levels by a robust 7.8%, with domestic traffic being slightly below the respective 2016 volumes (-2%), whereas international passengers enjoyed a sharp increase of almost 15%.
Number of flights during the first two months of the year amounted to 22,446 presenting a small rise of 0.6%. Domestic flights were reduced by 3% while international services showed an increase of 3.5%.
