"Kalimera", Athens - Tel Aviv!
New year-round direct flight by Alitalia!
As already announced a while ago, on May 2nd, Alitalia launched a new daily, direct Athens – Tel Aviv Route! Flight is operated on a A320, departing from Athens at 7:30 am (9:20 local time arrival) and arriving in Ath at 21:55 (departing from Tel Aviv at 19:50).
For the inaugural flight, both the Ambassador of Italy to Greece, Mr. Efisio Luigi Marras, and the Ambassador of Israel to Greece, Mrs Irit Ben - Abba (photo, middle) were present, along with Alitalia and Athens International Airport staff, for the traditional cake-cutting and the ribbon-bonding ceremony!
Tel Aviv-Athens market is strongly developing with an impressive +52% traffic in 2017 (Jan-April), while at the same time the airlines operating the route enjoy even higher load factors this year, reaching almost 75%.
