Athens is Volotea’s 1st Base in Greece _ New routes: Verona and Heraklion
On November 29th during a special Press Event downtown Athens, Volotea announced the launch of its new base #12! In Athens airport from April 2018.
In specific, Volotea will start the base with one B717 equipment as of April 2018 and will operate to 5 International and 3 National destinations.
New destinations for Volotea
Heraklion : as of 26th April 2018 with daily frequency
Verona : as of 31st May with 2 weekly frequency
As advised during the Press Event by Volotea, “additional routes will be confirmed before the base is launched”. In addition to above new routes, Volotea will continue to offer services from Athens to Bari, Palermo, Venice, Genoa and Santorini, Mykonos.
Volotea’s Athens base future plans provides, an estimated development of 1.2 million passengers and 30 destinations by 2020.
To celebrate the announcement of the base, Athens International Airport presented during the event the world famous V7 cocktail ;), Ingredients of the cocktail are secret but undeniably a success for the future !!
