A350 in Athens for the first time!
Qatar Airways in Athens 2013 – 2017: +57%
On Monday Jan 15th, we were delighted to welcome the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 for the first time in Athens! Qatar Airways temporarily upgraded its current triple-daily service to Athens, and a true “Athenian welcome” was offered to the aircraft, crew, and passengers!
In the photos, the traditional water arch salute, the team at the tarmac, and….. a special surprise for the Captain, as it was also his birthday!:)
Some noteworthy points:
- Qatar Airways @ Athens passenger traffic growth reached 11% for 2017 compare to 2016. Since 2013 Qatar Airways aggregate growth at 57%. For 2017 average Load Factor further improved by +3.2 points.
- Qatar Airways operates 3 daily services to Athens
- QR204 left Athens yesterday to Doha with a promise to return in the future on a regular upgraded aircraft type service!:)
