“This is Athens & Partners”
AEGEAN, Athens Municipality, the Tourism sector and AIA join forces for Athens!
An initiative to spruce up Athens and transform it into a leading European destination was unveiled recently by "This Is Athens & Partners": A scheme created by the City of Athens, Aegean Airlines, the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE) and AIA, presented during a special event held at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).
The collaborative initiative takes off where the previous “Athens Tourism Partnership” project left off, which was launched 3 years ago between the Municipality, AEGEAN and AIA. Now, with the addition of SETE, the cooperation takes the form of a comprehensive, three-year development plan aimed to upgrade Athens as a destination and effectively promote the city to major tourism markets abroad.
“This is Athens & Partners” is based on a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation signed by the four partners and includes an ambitious development plan that is divided into three axes, Destination Development, Destination Marketing, and Destination Management
