Passenger traffic at Athens continues to strongly perform with 5.2mio PAX in the first 3 months of the year.
March 2024, is the best March ever recorded at the airport, with over 2mio PAX, compared to 1.67mio last year or 1.65mio in 2019
During March 2024, the airport’s passenger traffic amounted to 2 million, i.e. 20.1% above March 2023. Domestic and International passengers surpassed the 2023 levels by 12.6% and 23.5%, respectively.
Overall, during the first three months of 2024, the airport’s passenger traffic totalled 5.2 million, above the 2023 levels by 16.5%, resulting in 739 thousand additional passengers. From the 739 thousand additional PAX, 592 thousand derived from the International segment and 147 thousand from the Domestic segment. Domestic and International passengers surpassed the 2023 levels by 10.3% and 19.4%, respectively.
Number of flights during the first three months of 2024 amounted to 46,334, i.e. 12.8% above the 2023 levels. Both Domestic and International flights were above the 2023 volumes by 6.5% and 17.5%, respectively.
