Athens welcomes Condor ( “The Stripes” ) offering a daily flight to Frankfurt and beyond connections in Summer 2027
Condor is further strengthening Frankfurt as an international hub, creating additional opportunities for convenient connections to Condor’s long-haul destinations across North America, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond.
Condor announced a new service to Athens, offering daily flight to Frankfurt. Expanding Condor’s city network to a total of 16 destinations next summer.
Athens will be launched by Condor on the 28th of April 2027, using its own A320neo equipment, offering 180 seats. Condor is further strengthening Frankfurt as an international hub, creating additional opportunities for convenient connections to Condor’s long-haul destinations across North America, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond.
During an evaluation process by Condor over the last few months, Athens successfully shortlisted among other European airports and a decision was made in September, selecting Athens as Condor’s next European destination.
Condor, will be the 2nd new airline for Athens in 2027, following Alaska Airlines.

In Summer this year Athens is connected to 8 German cities, with services offered by 5 airlines.
Despite the plethora of direct services between Athens and Germany, 12% of the O&D traffic in 2025 travelled with a connecting 1-stop service (IATA AirportIS Jan-Dec). That is almost 200,000 round-trip PAX that travelled indirect, which is a significant volume for one of the largest European markets. In 2025, Germany recorded the largest volume of connecting flows for Athens among the TOP 5 European markets.
Beyond Frankfurt opportunities
Condor passengers to/from Athens will benefit by the airline network and especially its Nort America connections.

Back in 2025, US and Canada combined, recorded 1.4mio round-trip O&D PAX that travelled with a connecting (1-stop) service to/from Athens (IATA AirportIS Jan-Dec). Condor, realised this opportunity and planned its Athens turn-around to feed with its Nort American services from Frankfurt.
At Athens, Condor will benefit by the strong and growing point-to-point demand, by the significant volume of passengers traveling Indirectly between Athens and between Athens and North America.
