3. A growing market
“Save to Discover” was the call to action during pandemic times and the result was an island that never closed, a new hub for the digital nomads, a happy place to stay with nature and the choice for stay living for lot of families.
Since 2019 Madeira Airport grows from 3,2 million to 5,4 million passengers in 2025. In 2025 the average load factor was 85,5%. Since 2019, Madeira Airport has added more than 40 new direct destinations, 14 new airlines and a Ryanair base!
4. Two islands to visit
Flying to the archipelago is the opportunity to choose between the green of Madeira Island or the sandy and gold small island of Porto Santo.
Porto Santo Airport received in 2025, more than 256.000 passengers, being 84% from mainland, 8% from Denmark and 3% from Italy.
Porto Santo is the island of the Best Beach of Europe recognized in 2024 by World Travel Awards and is the paradise to dive in the Atlantic Ocean and to play golf.
