Faro Airport and NAV Portugal open temporary exhibition
The exhibition displays the history of the relationship between Faro Airport and NAV Portugal (Air Traffic Control) from 1965
Faro Airport and NAV Portugal (Air Traffic Control) have inaugurated this Friday, December 12th 2014, at 11.30am at Faro Airport, an exhibition about the history of the provision of services in support of Air Navigation in the Algarve.
The exhibition "NAV Portugal at Faro Airport" includes a collection of photos and videos, as well as antique items, with the aim of showing airport users and the general public, a set of services, such as Tower Control, Maintenance and Equipment Systems, Aeronautical Communications and Meteorology that normally are not visible, but which are fundamental to support the air traffic demand of the Algarve Region.
To mark the inauguration of this exhibition which shows a retrospective view of the air navigation services provided since its birth in 1965 to present day, and with a vision for the future, 38 voices of the "NAV Portugal Choir" will delight all with their vocal skills.
The exhibition, available in the public area of the terminal, will be accessible to all visitors to Faro Airport until March 31st, 2015.
