China Southern Shrinks Japan Operation in W12

China Southern Airlines in Winter 2012/13 season, effective 28OCT12, is shrinking operation to Japan as a result of recent political tensions between China and Japan.

Planned service reductions/cancellations as follows:

Changchun – Osaka Kansai 01NOV12 – 30NOV12 Service reduced from 2 weekly (Day 36) to 1 weekly (Day 3), A319 operating
Changchun – Sendai 2 weekly service CANCELLED
Dalian – Fukuoka 4 weekly service CANCELLED
Dalian – Hiroshima 3 weekly service CANCELLED
Dalian – Osaka Kansai Daily service operates with A319 instead of A321
Dalian – Sapporo 2 weekly service CANCELLED
Dalian – Tokyo Narita Service reduced from daily to 4 weekly (Day x246), A321 operating
Dalian – Toyama 5 weekly service CANCELLED
Guangzhou – Fukuoka 3 weekly service CANCELLED
Guangzhou – Osaka Kansai Planned 2nd daily service cancelled. CZ389/390 daily service operates with A321 instead of Boeing 777
Guangzhou – Tokyo Narita Boeing 737-800 replaces Airbus A330-200, daily
Harbin – Niigata Service reduced from 4 weekly (Day x246) to 2 weekly (Day 37), A320 operating
Harbin – Osaka Kansai 01NOV12 – 31DEC12 Service reduced from 2 weekly (Day 15) to 1 weekly (Day 5), A320 operating
Harbin – Tokyo Narita 3 weekly service CANCELLED
Shenyang – Fukuoka 01NOV12 – 30NOV12 Service reduces from 2 weekly (Day 26) to 1 weekly (Day 6), A319 operating
Shenyang – Nagoya 01NOV12 – 30NOV12 Service reduced from 2 weekly (Day 37) to 1 weekly (Day 3), A319 operating
Shenyang – Osaka Kansai 2 weekly service operates with Airbus A319, instead of A320

Planned Guangzhou – Sapporo 2 weekly service from 01JAN13 to 28FEB13 also cancelled, reported previously on Airline Route.
