Air Canada W18 Sun Destinations service changes as of 18JUN18

Air Canada in recent weeks gradually updated winter 2018/19 operation to the Sun Destinations, effective from mid-December 2018. Frequency/Aircraft comparison noted below is based on W18 vs W17. Planned adjustment as follows.

Montreal – Curacao eff 21DEC18 Mainline A320 replaces rouge A319, increase from 1 to 2 weekly

EDIT: Following specified routes originally reported with error. These are the corrected adjustment, corrected on Friday 22JUN18

  • Montreal – Orlando "eff 02NOV18 A319 operating, replacing A320"
This service is operated by Air Canada rouge, not Air Canada Mainline
  • Montreal – Puerto Plata "Service discontinued"
Original report filed on 19JUN18 is in correct, and should be corrected as Air Canada rouge continues to operate Montreal – Puerto Plata 3 times a week, with Airbus A319. Ottawa – Puerto Plata service will be discontinued in winter 2018/19 season
  • Montreal – Punta Cana "eff 18DEC18 Increase from 2 to 3 weekly, A320 operating "
This should be corrected as Ottawa – Punta Cana routing. Montreal – Punta Cana will see reduction from 8 to 7 weekly, 767 operating instead of A321/767
