Avianca Americas network changes from May 2019

Avianca in the last few days filed service changes, which sees the airline gradually ending selected Americas routes between May and July 2019.

Service discontinued from 01MAY19:
Bogota – Boston
Bogota – Chicago O’Hare
Pereira – Cartagena – New York JFK*

* This route is only available for booking in full-fare C/Y-class on/after 01JUL19

Service discontinued from 01JUN19:
Guatemala City – Chicago O’Hare
Guatemala City – New York JFK
Guatemala City – Orlando*
San Salvador – Boston
San Salvador – Cali
San Salvador – Cartagena

*Reservation closed for travel on/after 01JUL19, despite schedule listing shows 3 weekly flights

Service discontinued from 01JUL19, only full-fare C/Y-class is available for booking for the moment:
Lima – Orlando

Separately, Bogota – Miami service is showing reduction from 4 to 3 daily from 01JUL19, as AV126/127 available for reservation in full-fare C/Y-class only.

Despite service reductions listed above, the Star Alliance carrier in the 3rd quarter plans to increase Bogota – Orlando service, from 7 to 11 weekly from 01JUL19 to 30SEP19.
