Porto Airport awarded best European airport by passengers

Three airports in the VINCI Airports network - Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport - Porto, Portugal, Belgrade Airport, Serbia and Guanacaste Airport, Costa Rica - have been distinguished by ACI (Airport Council International) among the best airports in the world in their category for service quality. The ACI rankings are a global benchmark for the quality of airport services and are particularly important for those involved in the sector, as they are based on passenger surveys.

Porto airport, which will exceed 15 million passengers in 2023, has managed to maintain its exemplary level of service quality and has once again been honoured with the award for best European airport in its category.

In 2023, Porto airport introduced the "Biometric Experience by VINCI Airports", an innovative project being trialled for selected flights and passengers departing from the airport, welcomed new routes operated by new airlines and has plans for further work on the platform. This is the 17th award that Porto airport has received from ACI in this category since 2006.

These awards demonstrate VINCI Airports' ability to manage the upturn in global air traffic, confirmed in 2023, while implementing ambitious renovation plans that offer a high level of service and quality results to its passengers.

Nicolas Notebaert, CEO of VINCI Concessions and Chairman of VINCI Airports, commented: "I am very proud of what the VINCI Airports teams have achieved over the past year. Thanks to their know-how and excellence in the operational management of our activities, they offer our passengers the highest possible standards in terms of the travelling experience on our network."
