BA welcomed in Madeira
BA starts flying to Madeira from London Gatwick
The British airline is operating three weekly flights from London Gatwick to madeira until July, when two additional frequencies will take place.
The UK market is the largest foreign source market to Madeira, with a market share of 19% of the total pax at Madeira Airport. In 2014, the market grew by 6,6%.
This new operation from BA represents an increase of over 30 thousand seats during the IATA Summer of 2015 and over 25 thousand seats over the next IATA winter, where the airline will assure four weekly frequencies.
At the arrival of the first flight, passengers were greeted with a special welcome by Madeira Airports.
