New route from Basel to Madeira by easyjet

Yesterday, easyJet made the first connection from Basel to Madeira Island.

Easyjet started flying since 2007 and flies to seven destinations: Bristol, Manchester, London Gatwick, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Porto and now from Basel.

Flight is scheduled one time a week, on Tuesdays and route will be served by Airbus A319, with a 156 passenger capacity.

As usual, passengers were greeted with a special welcome by Madeira Airports. To celebrate this new route, was prepared a small reception, with Madeira wine, flowers, cake and the traditional christening of the airplane.
