Polish Air Navigation Services Agency is the only organisation in Poland providing the airspace management as well as the air traffic control services and flight information service. PANSA ensures safety in one of the biggest airspace in Europe covering over 334 000 km2 and almost 3 000 flights over Poland a day in the peak times just before the Sars-Cov2 pandemic. Almost a million overflights, approaches, take-offs and landings in 2019 were supervised by 600 air traffic controllers. Polish ANSP also provides flight inspection services for monitoring the proper operation of groundbased navigation aids from the air and to make the validation of conventional and satellite based flight procedures possible..

Warsaw/Modlin Airport is one of the new Polish Airports which started its operational activity in 2012. It Is the only Polish Airport included in the list of “European Airports with largest seat capacity increase 2022 vs 2019” (RDC report)

  • 3.1 mln passengers were served at Warsaw/Modlin Airport during 2022 with 22 383 take-offs and landings performed. These results represented 214.6% and 154.4% of the total air traffic of 2021, respectively.
  • Up to 65 destinations operated on scheduled routes. Around 430 flight operations were made on an average weekly basis. At present, Warsaw/Modlin Airport is a permanent base for 7 aircraft of the Carrier Ryanair.
