Singapore Airlines to Operate All-A380 Service to London from June 2012

Singapore Airlines starting 01JUN12 introduces 3rd daily Airbus A380 service on Singapore – London Heathrow route, which results in 17% of capacity increase. Existing SQ308/319 service from this date will be operated by A380, instead of Boeing 777-300ER. The airline has finished updating its reservation system around 0700GMT.

The Star Alliance member originally planned to operate all-A380 service to London by late-2011, but this plan was postponed.

Singapore Airlines began wide-body service to London Heathrow in 1973 when Boeing 747 entered service.
