What to Expect at Our Events?
Face-to-Face Meetings
Meetings form the core of Routes events. Priority and Advanced Meeting System Access will be in early March. Airports and Destinations can access the system from 16 March. Routes 360 suppliers can access from 3 April and general access from 10 April.
Time: Between 9:30am-5:35pm, for 20 mins slots

The event hospitality programme facilitates the fostering of new business relationships and networking informally with industry partners in spectacular settings

Event 101
What is the dress code for Routes Asia?
We recommend business attire for the three business days of Routes Asia. For the Welcome Reception and Networking evening, we recommend smart casual attire.
How do I gain access to Routes Asia 2026?
You will need your delegate badge to gain access to the event, including all Networking Events, at Routes Asia 2026.
You will receive your Delegate Badge Barcode a few days before the event via email from routeseventregistration@informa.com. You will need to have the barcode ready to scan to collect your badge.
Badge Collection will be open on Monday 13 April at the Event Venue or the Welcome Reception.
If you are joining us later you can collect your badge at the Event Venue from 8am on Tuesday 14 April. For more information view the event programme.
Who will be at Routes Asia 2026?
Airlines, Airports, Tourism Authorities, Industry Suppliers and Economic Development Agencies from across the world will be at Routes Asia 2026. You can view the full attendee list here.
What food and drink can I expect at Routes Asia 2026?
During the event days. there will be various food options available. During breaks, snacks and drinks will be provided in the hosted seating areas. During lunch, there will be hot and cold options as well as drinks.
During the Welcome Reception, you can expect canapes and drinks.
During the Networking Evening, you can expect a buffet and drinks.
Hotels and Travel
How do I book accommodation for this year's event?
Delegates can compare and sort hotels by distance, price and TripAdvisor rating on our dedicated webpage, hosted by our official hotel provider, HotelMap. We still have several hotels available, view and book official hotels in Xi'an.
Are there Airport and Event Transfers available?
Yes, there are Airport and Event Transfers available to and from all Official Hotels and event venues. We are currently finalising the schedule. Please complete our Travel and Hotel Details form to help inform us, in case any updates are needed to our event transfer schedules.
Do I need a visa to travel to Xi'an?
The majority of delegates require a visa to travel to China. In 2025, a 30 Day Visa-free entry was introduced for 47 countries. Any other country must apply for a M Visa (Business). If you require more information regarding e-visas or visa support letters, view our Travel guidance page.

When and how can I request meetings?
Airlines, Exhibitors, Sponsors and Routes 360 members all get Priority or Advanced access to the meeting system on 2 April or 9 April. Airport and Tourism delegates will then get access from 16 March. Routes 360 Supplier delegates will get access on 3 April, and all remaining delegates will get general access on 10 April

Where can I find my meeting diary?
You can access the Meeting Request System and live updated Meeting Diaries in the Routes App and Meeting System.
Any tips for a successful meeting?
1. Keep presentations short and to the point… less is more!
2. Meetings are more than presenting information, they are about building relationships.
3. Understand an airline's network, fleet, business model, alliance relationships and strategy.
4. Present content that is visually appealing and easy to digest.

What are the networking opportunities during the event?
There are networking sessions and opportunities throughout the event days, including the Welcome Reception and Networking Evening. You can find the full schedule in our event programme
Where are the Networking Events?
The Welcome Reception will take place on 13 April, ahead of the first day of the event at the Ziyun Tower in Tang Paradise.
The Networking Evening will take place on 15 April, at Xi'an International Convention Centre - Jianzhang Hall and second-floor terrace.
Transfers will be available for both events. More information about the events can be found here.

Do you need to book a place at the conference sessions?
No, you do not need to book to attend any of our conference sessions. You can freely turn up to any sessions you wish to see.
Who will be at the conference?
Many key leaders and decision-makers will be speaking at Routes Asia 2026. We are currently finalising the conference programme, which will be available shortly.
Previous speakers included: AAPA's Director General Subhas Menon, Adani Airports' Group CEO Arun Bansal, Vietjet Air's VP Commercial Jay L Lingeswara and Qantas Group's Head of Commercial Strategy & Performance, Scott Zeglin.

Where can I find the Routes App?
The Routes Event App is combined with our Meeting Request System and will be available in March 2026. Please use the same log in details as the meeting system to access the event.
How do I log into the Routes App?
When the App is live, please use your existing log in for the Routes Asia App or Meeting System. If you cannot remember your password, you can easily request to reset your password. For detailed guidance on accessing the meeting system and app, please click here.
