Saint Louis International Airport (STL) is the gateway to opportunities for airlines.  Located near the population center of the United States, STL is the only major commercial service airport for a metropolitan area of over 3 million residents and a catchment area of over 6 million residents.

STL is experiencing robust demand to both domestic and international markets and offers airlines a number of opportunities to take advantage of non-stop capacity shortfalls.

STL offers highly competitive incentive and marketing programs to both new entrant and incumbent airlines.  With seven variations to the incentive program and an airline friendly marketing program, STL offers something for nearly all service additions. STL prides itself on its approach to partnering with the airlines and strives to assure success for each airline in all markets.

As a no-restriction, no-curfew airport with four commercial service runways, two passenger terminals, five concourses, and the capacity to offer up to 88 gates, Saint Louis International Airport is equipped and ready to meet the interest and needs of all airlines.  Please Explore, Experience and Expand in STL.

Registration - The Chicago Department of Aviation

In 2013, the Chicago Department of Aviation’s airports, O’Hare and Midway International, served over 87 million annual passengers and leading global airlines – including Air Berlin, Austrian Airlines, Hainan Airlines and Qatar Airways – began new Chicago service.  Our airports are the gateway to the dynamic Chicago metropolitan area – the third-largest metro area in the United States (9.7 million residents) and consistently ranked among the top ten most economically powerful metropolitan areas in the world.  The Chicago metro area’s population is significantly more diverse (21% Hispanic, 6% Asian), more affluent (top five U.S. metropolitan area as measured by households with income exceeding $75,000 USD) and better educated (nearly 40% of residents have obtained a post-secondary degree) than the U.S. average – all indicators of strong demand for international air travel.  Additionally, the Chicago metro area has more than 400 major corporate headquarters, including 29 Fortune 500 headquarters (second-highest number of Fortune 500 headquarters in the U.S.).

With the new capacity created by recent infrastructure improvements, the CDA is seeking to aggressively add new airlines and destinations, serving all corners of the globe, to both of our airports.  We look forward to welcoming you to Chicago this September 20th-23rd as the host city for the 20th World Route Development Forum.   Chicago – Think Big!

The Routes Americas Strategy Summit - The New Quito International Airport

Quito logo

On February 20th, 2013, the New Quito International Airport started its operations serving more than 5.5 million passengers annually. Quiport, as the concessionaire of the service, has focused on route development to take advantage of the operational benefits the new airport offers which include: improved take off performance with more payload and fuel capacity, ability for larger airplanes to operate on the 4,100 meter long runway located 400 meters lower than the previous airport, safer operations with lower landing approach minimums and more efficient cargo facilities.

The work has already paid off: in just 11 months the airport offers more frequencies, new routes, and more cargo and passenger airlines. Additionally, Quiport and third parties have made over $70 million investment in infrastructure which includes a logistics center, an administration building, FBO facilities and an upcoming hotel, as major projects. The New Quito International Airport has truly become an airport city where constant growth and improvement are the pillars to ensure it provides excellent services to passengers, airlines and airport users in general.
