Under Australia's universal visa system, all visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia. However, New Zealand passport holders will normally be granted a Special Category visa on arrival provided they meet health and character requirements and permanent residents of Norfolk Island may be granted a Permanent Resident of Norfolk Island visa on arrival.
There are many visa options available to people wishing to visit Australia. The appropriate visa option will depend, amongst other things, on your purpose for visiting Australia.
Please refer to the attached Business Information document for guidance on the visa options that may be most suitable for you. You should also refer to the General Information for Visa Applicants document.
Visa Invitation Letter
In addition to the visa application form, embassies may also require a letter of invitation from the local host. If you require a letter of invitation, this will be provided by The South Australian Tourism Commission.
Please complete the online request form. It must be completed in full, ensuring accuracy throughout. Changes to any application may cause significant delays in processing times.
This letter will be issued as a PDF file via email. Please note: invitation letters will only be issued to individuals registered to attend the event. Should you have any questions relating to visas or the visa invitation letter procedure please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
