Getting Around

Free shuttle buses are available for World Routes delegates from Adelaide Airport to official hotels starting on Saturday 21 September. Return transfers start on Tuesday 24 September. A shuttle bus service will operate between official hotels and the Showground venue during the event.

Adelaide’s city centre is only a 15-minute drive from the Adelaide Airport. Visitors are assured a quick, easy and inexpensive journey into the city centre when catching a taxi. The average taxi fare from the airport to the city centre is around AUD$20 (~USD$18).

While city attractions are within easy walking distance, a free City Connector bus links the city's major cultural, entertainment and retail centres as well as North Adelaide. Adelaide’s tramline is free for travel within the city and is a great way to visit the famous beachside suburb of Glenelg. Discover the city with a local and book an Adelaide Greeter who is selected based on your language and interests. Adelaide is an ideal city to explore by bike with its wide and flat streets.

See more of South Australia via air with Regional Express or Qantas Link, travel by rail with Adelaide Metro public transport, hire a car, charter a bus or take a coach tour.
